The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
1) If you are comfortable
In 2.6.14 the ability to suspend one time has returned. (trying to
suspend a second time fails, which was the norm for me with Dapper)
However, this week I've received two updates to restricted kernel
modules and I just tried to suspend and now the computer freezes up
entirely when I try to suspen
OK, in -14 I can suspend one time, but I get this error message on resume (see
attached):
SUSPEND PROBLEM
Your computer failed to suspend.
Check the help file for common problems.
The bubble points at the power meter applet, but there is no help file
that I can find.

I've confirmed the problem still exists. Once I close the lid on my
laptop, it doesn't suspend, nor can I get the screen to unblank.
