In our design call with Mark on Feb 16th, Mark requested that the
default MAAS name be blank and so would show up simply as "MAAS".
In #cloud-dev we discussed this bug report and Francis asked for my
input. I agreed that $hostname MAAS would make a good default in order
to distinguish one MAAS fro
@flacoste, this was a direct request from Mark. Matthew says Mark has
since seen the hostname addition and Matthew is chasing up which course
of action to take.

name be '' is desirable over $hostname.

I don't really like how "My Maas" sounds but maybe that's just me. This
is a really easy fix once we agree on what the default should be:
"$hostname Maas" … "$Hostname Maas"?
