In our design call with Mark on Feb 16th, Mark requested that the default MAAS name be blank and so would show up simply as "MAAS".
In #cloud-dev we discussed this bug report and Francis asked for my input. I agreed that $hostname MAAS would make a good default in order to distinguish one MAAS from other MAASes on a network. Mark commented that it was a nice idea but I don't have the log to paste here. (I'll dig it out for a subsequent comment.) Once MAAS can detect and work with other MAASes on the same network, we could revert to having a blank MAAS name where we've detected just one MAAS. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/955451 Title: Default Maas name is Www-data's Maas To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/955451/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
