Ti
Seth Randall, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/cur
Same bug in Fedora 16.
My hotkeys on my Thinkpad R61 don't seem to be working because I think X11
(with the NVidia Drivers are overwriting them)
I look at the message logs and i get
[ 414.861594] thinkpad_acpi: procfs hotkey: PID 3522: set mask to
0xffbf
>From "dmesg"
and in the log file
After some more testing, it appears the problem only appears when I use
the NVidia proprietary driver. I'm guessing they're calling some kernel
function that resets the keyboard. I don't know if it's something that
is handled through Launchpad or if I need to file a bug report with
NVidia.

You
Do you know if this issue happened in previous version of Ubuntu, or is
this a new issue?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? It
will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . If possible, please
