I suspect that we will eventually fix this for good by switching to GRUB
2 on CDs, which has its own USB stack in order to avoid being dependent
on the BIOS for this kind of thing. We didn't manage that switch for
Maverick, though.

With the right bios settings there are no problem. (Tested with Kubuntu
10.10 beta - AMD64)
IsoLinux however still does not have native keyboard support.
(Probably a wont-fix even though it hard to make newbies change anything in
bios)

No matter how I set my bios - isolinux does not work for me (however I
can make grub work with changing bios settings)
Nevertheless both isolinux and grub should have native keyboard support. PS/2
keyboards are on their way out.
