Ville Ranki, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better. This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue?
Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images

I'm not sure if I'm affected by the same bug, but I'm experiencing the
same problems and also have a Broadcom adapter, so I assume a yes.
Scanning and pairing works fine, I can also use Bluetooth keyboards and
mice perfectly well, but OBEX fails miserably. "Browse files..." from
the menubar applet
I tested with latest kernel (3.1.0-030100-generic #201110241006 SMP Mon
Oct 24 14:20:44 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux).
BT works better than with stock Ubuntu kernel, but there are some
issues.
hcitool scan and the BT applet finds other devices. It's possible to
pair devices from UI.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? It
will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to

the latest kernel (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've
