Okay, that's a bit elliptic. I helped Martin debug a problem with his Quickcam Messenger: He installed the kernel module following the instructions on this page: http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/quickcam And got the quickcam working well. Then he installed a system upgrade (presumably the kernel upgrade
