Upgraded to 11.10 development with kernel 3.0.0-12 and I get a _lot_ of errors
logged at boot:
READ CAPACITY failed
Result: hostbyte=DID_BAD_TARGET driverbyte=DRIVER_OK
Sense not available
Truncating mode parameter data from 28273 to 512 bytes
Got wrong page
Assuming drive cach
I have the same issue with the same chip and would really like to see a fix.

So, there are in fact *two* versions in the -proposed pocket: 2.6.38-9
in main and 2.6.38-11 in universe.
A bit surprising but I tested -11: same issue with the additional
regression that I'm informed that I don't have the hardware required to
run Unity.
Will run apport-collect 810400 nevertheles
Also, there's already another version of Natty in the -proposed pocket
for testing. If you have the means to give this a test, it would be
helpful to know whether the problem is resolved in that one.

Invalid just means that it hasn't been reported in Oneiric.
We need more system information - please run the following in a shell:
apport-collect 810400
- If you can do it after booting the problem kernel, then we'll get the
system logs that include that. If not then do what you can and make a
