ghemical crash on startup - pango, courier font missing

According to the Debian bug report, this should be fixed via the xfonts
recommended package. However, I still get the same error message when
attempting to run ghemical (3.0.0-2 on Ubuntu Zesty). Tested with
installing all the xfont packages listed on
http://packages.ubuntu.com/zesty/ghemical, but

Bill: I just wanted to follow up as I found the time today to sort of
test what you did. While I was using virtualized 32 debian systems (I
actually tried several different virtualization methods), I was unable
to get anything to perform differently in any way. While the fonts

I installed Raring (64 bit) a few weeks ago and found this bug still
present, however when I did a 32 bit install on the same system (EM64T)
there was no problem and ghemical was fully functional. Maybe there is
a difference in the fonts installed on the 32 bit 13.04.

This probably isn't terribly useful, but this bit me today using the
current 12.04 LTS Ubuntu. Installing xfonts-75dpi and/or msttcorefonts
did nothing to fix the problem.

Vadim: Could you elaborate a bit on why you marked this fixed? I still

I get this error whether I install the package or if I compile myself. I
was able to compile ghemical 2.10. However, as an aside, I noticed very
strange results for optimizing ethane as a test using mopac (distorted
structures) and mpqc crashed before optimization.
