I'm quite baffled by this now. When I first reported this it reported
that I was using 5.36.
Now, sudo /usr/sbin/smartctl -V reports:
smartctl 5.40 2010-07-12 r3124 [x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu] (local build)
yet I have not built a local version, nor done anything that I can
remember other than do
So, if you run /usr/sbin/smartctl directly, what version it is?
