I tried it once again and now I get CD corrupt message. It looks like
the x86 CD version is taken off the list

I was finally able to install. I'm sorry but I didn't know how to
gather the debugging information. But I realized wht the problem was. I
was at a public location with internet access . Ubuntu installer started
downloading stuff from the repositories (language packs and some other
update
Marking the ubiquity project task invalid - we only use the Ubuntu
package for bug tracking.
