We're talking about mixing components of DEs here, so a prolem arises.
One can keep killing Nautilus, and also not let it start with the
session, but when anybody runs Gnome apps that rely on Nautilus,
Nautilus is going to start, and the problem will keep recurring. I've
posted a solution that, if
You can quit nautilus by command "nautilus --quit" in terminal (or in
the Alt-F2 dialog). If you then save session and log out from Xfce
session, nautilus should not be in background. But the problem
reappears, if you happen to start nautilus without --no-desktop.

I'm quite sure you've quit Xfce with nautilus running, and saved the session.
Try to backup your ~/.cache/sessions folder, remove it and then restart Xfce
(without saving the session). This should fix the "bug".
