bamf has the information and should normally be signaling when that
happens. I'd like to understand whether bamf can be used, or whether it
is the issue because of too many hops in between.

This does not only happen with maximized windows. Open a gnome-terminal,
"Edit > Profile Preferences", in the "Title and Command" tab change the
initial title. The window border immediately updates the title, the top
panel lags behind.

was tagged as duplicate of this one for some reason. As far as I can
tell this accrue nautilus and firefox. But probably any application that
updates the window title. Bug is only triggered when window is
