Thank you for attaching the output. It seems that the issue from the progress
dialog is caused by aptdaemon not handling locale settings the way
update-manager does it, so I am reassigning this to aptdaemon, as
update-manager's main interface (the main window) is in English, as you said

@fredtdtje: please also attach the output of the locale command from a
terminal. It seems that the main interface's language is english, but still,
some sentences are translated. What should be the behavior on your computer?

Thanks for helping out, Robert.
As I don't have packages to update at this moment, I can't include a screenshot
of the updating process. However, I will now upload a screenshot of the proces

@fredtdtje: Could you please attach a screenshot of this? The progress dialogs
are also part of another package, aptdaemon, so just to make sure we're talking
about the same thing, we will need a screenshot.

Reassigning is ok, but as I noted in comment #4, the problem also exists
in the progress box, which I guess is a native part of update-manager.

As I suspected, the issue arises with different settings for LANG and
LANGUAGE. The authorization dialog probably uses LANG for the prompt
text, whereas the rest of the dialog is localized using LANGUAGE. That
should be easy to fix.
