It seems as though it is related to the ATI XOrg driver. When using the
ATI driver my screen works well, but when I close the screen it logs
out. I have been torubleshooting the problem and when I use the VESA
driver it does not log me out, but i do have to hit Ctrl+Alt+F1 then
Ctrl+Alt+F7 to get
Also, this does not seem to be the same as the Xorg exiting bug, as it
seems that those people's screen fails to come back on ( bug 61746 ).
This seems as though the close lid event triggers Edgy to logout.

I have a Dell c610 that does the exact same thing. gnome-power-control
is set correctly. Did not happen in Dapper, but happens in Edgy.
I was thinking Hal or ACPI too. As Edgy has a beta version of Xorg,
that may be the reason as well.
