Simon, I don't have a digital camera to take a photograph of the tty1.
Matt, when the installation crashes, the system no longer responds to
the mouse nor keyboard. I would love to provide you with a full dmesg
but I wouldn't know how under those circumstances.
As for the most recent successful in
Is Knot 2 the most recent install which succeeded? Is this error
reproducible every time? Is it at the same point during the install?
Does the memory test on the CD show any errors?

I'm afraid we'll need more lines of the error message to isolate the
problem. Can you take a photograph of tty1 and attach it to this bug
report using its web page?
