In Oneiric, it should be fixed, as that package correctly installs all
GSettings schemas.

Gnome-shell aborts, can't find schema 'org.gnome
gnome-shell is not in the Natty repository and not officially supported
there. If you got it while upgrading from Maverick, you should either
remove it or (if you're feeling particularly brave) find a working
version in a PPA.

That''s not a fix, that's a workaround. Also note the Rico has the
GNOME 3 version of the package where we still have the GNOME 2.32
pre-release version.

On Oct 27, I was able to install gnome-shell 2.91.0+git20101022
.6b47b78d-0ubuntu1~11.04~ricotz0.3_i386.deb . This version and every
version since have worked fine, tho
