My last two posts can apparently be disregarded. Reading
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/natty/beta#Graphics%20and%20display and
bug 711378's other duplicates has convinced me that my problem is really
bug 711378, and not this. I'll mark my bug 724143 as a duplicate of bug
711378 instead of this bug.
When I originally experienced this bug (and reported it as bug 742143),
it was on the live CD. But I had neglected to say that, shortly
thereafter, I discovered that it applied to the newly installed system
as well, even after I had updated it, and that it also applies to
another Natty system (with

Is that to say that, with Natty, it should be considered a separate bug? If
that is the case, then I could mark my bug 742143 as no longer a duplicate of
this bug. Or does your bug need to be reported separately for some other reason?

I have experienced a very similar situation, which seems to me to be the
same bug as this, on the Natty daily-live CD. I've reported it as bug
742143 (which I've since marked as a duplicate of this bug). There are
additional details in that bug report.

I'm having this problem or at least a very similar problem. I am also
using 10.10 (natty).
Expected behavior: gnome-panel is supposed to start up automatically on
startup.
Observed: I am also not seeing the gnome-panel startup on login. I have to
start the gnome-panel manually. If I start g
Thanks for the report, Is this still an issue for you? If so, could you
attach your ~/.xsession-errors to the report? Thanks.
