I forgot to say that this is the case with yesterday's Natty daily
build. I've also attached the lshw output from my wife's PC. I haven't
installed Natty on this one, so can't get at the apport output.

This is happening on two different desktop pc's the output what I try to start
Unity from the terminal the output is as follows:
barry@smart:~$ unity
No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/allscreens/options/active_plugins'
Backend : gconf
Integration : true
Profile : unity
Adding plug

After recent updates, every thing is working. I can login to the gnome
or unity desktops as my regular user.

After recent updates, I can use the unity desktop as my test user,
however, when I log in as my normal user (selecting Ubuntu Netbook
Edition from the login screen), I get the standard gnome desktop, not
the unity desktop.
