Not an amarok bug. The icons in question are part of the freedesktop.org icon theme, and all major icon themes have them. Perhaps this bug should be attached to the Amarok package itself rather than the indicator applet? The fix involves tossing the missing Amarok icons in /usr/share/kde4/apps/amarok/icons/hicolor/22x22/actions right? That sounds like a job for the Amarok package, and not the indicator applet to me..

Ted, just FYI, it is both the media skip buttons (forwards and backwards) as well as the "stop" button and the "play/pause" buttons. Your d-bus instructions are a little confusing to me or else I would run them myself for you, but perhaps if you install and run amarok you can check it for yourself

It is odd that the icons would be not found. Can you confirm which icons Amarok is looking for? It seems to be media- skip-{backwards|forwards} to me, but those are found in several icon themes. If you can use an application like d-feet you can get the dbus address and path for the menu. Then y
