It is odd that the icons would be not found. Can you confirm which icons Amarok is looking for? It seems to be media- skip-{backwards|forwards} to me, but those are found in several icon themes.
If you can use an application like d-feet you can get the dbus address and path for the menu. Then you can dump it using dbus-dumper which is in /usr/lib/libdbusmenu/ and part of the libdbusmenu-tools package.
