A work around is available - actually, to be more accurate, I was able to assign s to what I wanted in System-Preferences-Keyboard Shortcuts For those interested in window transparency, there is a program in the software center called transset-df. Install this, then make a key binding to the comma

I'm also having this problem. On one computer (an ancient desktop, I don't know the specs) s toggles window transparency (I can't seem to find that key binding in either the gnome settings or compiz - opacify is turned off) On the Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop it gives the menu box no matter what key
