It can be that kfmclient can open pages in other browsers, but it still
doesn't change the fact that most of kfmclient's functionality is
heavily tied to konqueror. Without konqueror, most of kfmclient's other
functions will not work. You may wish to file a wishlist report at the
KBibtex bug tracke

Thanks for looking at this bug report.
It might be the case the kfmclient did only support konqueror in the
past (compare

the link I gave in my initial report). However, it does work for me with
Firefox: typing "
kfmclient is only useful for konqueror. It is the only browser that it
supports. You probably want something more like kde-open or xdg-open.
