Even GE running on virtual WindowsXP in Virtual Box shows the same
defects.
Something is really wrong in Linux ATi Radeon driver.

has just been added to Maverick. Can you boot the Maverick beta CD,
then reload the package info, then update Mesa and xserver-xorg-video-
ati and xserver-xorg-video-radeon, then test again (without the
nomodeset parameter)?

I've added the 'nomodeset' parameter to the kernel.
Now plymouth starts with lower videomode, like 640x480, 256 colors, but maybe
this can be fixed with the 'videomode' kernel parameter.
The rendering problem has gone from Google Earth and Neverball, but is
still present in the Pinion screensaver

after hibernating again and this time putting the nomodeset boot option

modesetting disabled.
I'm using metacity with composite enabled. When I follow instructions in #30, I

Solved the problem following these instructions:
This must be done on both the boot command line and in the module
configuration.
/etc/default/grub:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nomodeset"
/etc/modprobe.d/radeon-kms.conf
options radeon modeset=0
In other words, as root, edit the file /etc/default/grub b
I have the same problem with ATI Radeon X1200 128MB-319MB and x86_64 on
Ubuntu 10.4
Has someone found a work around? This is quite a problem I installed LTS to

I have the same problem with ATI Mobility X1250.
Some notices:
The problem appears always in Google Earth and Neverball, only after a
few mouse-clicks in Blender (but never with orthographic projection),
and never in Danger from the Deep for example.
Only the vertices off the screen are projected
