Some recent update fixed the 2D performance. It's still not as good as
under Windows but now it's acceptable.
The 3D problem remains, though...
It might have to do with the following error message I get when starting GL
apps:
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b

I see a [resume] line by the end of the file. Does the problem happen
after a suspend / resume ?
Else, the log seems clean to me.

Yeah, I did that too. Sorry for not attaching them in the first place...
There are some warnings. I don't quite understand them but they seem to
relate to DRI, so may be connected to the bad 3D performance...

Have you looked at logs from Xorg server ? maybe some troubles are
reported in it.
(logs are in /var/log/Xorg.0.log)

I've attached my xorg.conf for reference. It's the default with the
addition of the Options mentioned above.
Perhaps one could call the 2D performance "acceptable", it certainly is

do you know what driver you are using ? vesa or radeon ?
I do have a radeon mobility U1 (~ radeon 7000), and 2D performances are
acceptable. I don't have any trouble when I move windows...
