Thank you for your interest and time in making ubuntu better.
I changed my program to libreoffice and opened the file "Steinzellen in
Birnen.odt"
With the workaround of Hans-Peter Oeri it printed correctly. see
gs_init.ps.006 and Print006.jpeg.
Using the original gs_init.ps.00
Hans Peter Schwob, thank you for reporting this bug and helping make
Ubuntu better. Could you please attach the file that demonstrates this
issue when printed? Does this issue occur for you in LibreOffice Writer?

Workaround:
Change ghostscripts default pagesize from Letter to A4:
/usr/share/ghostscript/[version]/Resource/Init/gs_init.ps
OpenOffice seems to delay setting the page size till the ps trailer
while all other progs set in the ps header. Someway in the path, that
definition seems to get lost...
