Still no luck on Ubuntu 11.04 or 11.10.
model=test doesn't work on my B1904TU but model=will does on Ear port, sound
quality is not very good if only model=will.
After using below, sound quality is good (haven't try which one makes). Try to
check alsa-source if possible.

Hi, It seems I have almost the same configuration of Mefisto. I can get sound
from headphones by using alsa 1.0.23 and model=will, still no sound from
speaker.

Sorry, I got that wrong. When running "pasuspender -- speaker-test
-Dplughw:SB -c2 -twav" the three hp options and the auto option stall at the
first "0 - Front Left" displayed in console and don't get any further.
The others run the speaker-test command normally, but as I have already
said, they

model=hp
model=hp-3013
model=hp-dc7600
model=fujitsu
model=acer
model=will
model=replacer
model=favorit100
model=basic
model=auto
model=test
The only one that produces any sound is model=test. The three hp ones,
favorit100, basic, and auto seem to run "pasuspender -- speak
Could you please also test model=auto, model=hp, model=hp-3013, and
model=hp-dc7600 separately? Please make sure to test both playback and
capture.

Still no sound. In fact, with latest upgrades installed, I get no sound at
all, even with
"options snd-hda-intel model=test" in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf. (With
this option, I was previously able to get sound from the with headphones
plugged into the mic jack.)

Ah, this looks like the issue that was resolved today, though you'll
need to use tomorrow's snapshot (linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r))
to verify. It should be available in ~18 hours.

No, enable_msi=1 is not sufficient.
When you say "don't split module options across lines" do you mean it
should be multiple options on one line like this:
options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1 model=test
I tried "options snd-hda-intel model=test" but without "enable_msi=1"
and got the same result
Also, if using enable_msi=1 is sufficient, please provide output from
using http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh afresh.
