Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a
duplicate of bug 449744, so it is being marked as such. Please look at
Temporary workaround:
1. uninstall Firebug 1.5.x extension from Firefox add-ons menu
2. reinstall Firebug 1.4.x through the Ubuntu apt-get repository: $ sudo
apt-get install --reinstall firebug
3. never update the extension when Firefox promts you to update

Firefox segfaults when Firebug 1.5.0 is activated. Using Firefox
provided with Ubuntu 9.10, amd64 version.
Firebug 1.5.0 is installed automatically through Firefox's add-on update
mechanism.
