It seems that I was right the first time *sigh*!
There is a manpage for sbaz in the Scala sources, but with no
corresponding source code of the utility. As you can see in [1], sbaz
lives in its own source tree. So, sbaz really needs its own source
package.

I must have been drunk that day. Of course sbaz is part of Scala
sources. I'll add it in the next upload (in Debian) of Scala.

I don't understand what you mean by it's not part of the scala sources:
I just downloaded the scala sources from http://www.scala-
lang.org/downloads (2.7.7 final), and sbaz is included in it. (along
with scaladoc and fsc).
The manpage for scala(1) references sbaz(1) in the 'See Also' section,
bu
Sbaz is not part of the Scala sources. So, I don't see any reason to put
it in the scala package. It may have its own package.
