I confirm the exact same behavior on two different machines both in
Dapper and Edgy.
This problem is not confined to network mounts made over wifi. I
experience the same problem with CIFS mounts on Windows machines on our
LAN over wire.

Exactly same for me. I dont know if is it long delay -- I have never
waited and switched comp off. I have several connections with Samba and
NFS over OpenVPN. It seems OpenVPN stops BEFORE this and the unmoutn
script is not able to unmout.

I have this happening too, when connecting to a share using cifs over a
wireless connection (WPA with Network Manager)
I'm running Dapper Drake 6.06LTS with the latest updates.
I don't know exactly how long the umounting takes, since I assumed it
had hung and so I shut it off manually (power butt
