Actually, I think I may have narrowed the problem down a bit. It also
happens when the viewer is xpdf. However, the problem seems not to be

if I "left-click" on a pdf-link, triggering either the automatic
application startup, th
I can also confirm this behaviour, i.e., after the first pdf has been

Howdy -
I had this problem for a while, across a few Ubuntu releases and a few
FF versions. I could reproduce the problem 100% of the time.
This week I had a hardware failure that resulted in me reinstalling the
O/S from scratch (Karmic), reloading my FF plugins, etc. I just
finished this, and
i uninstalled acroread and npwrapper, now it all works with the new flash.
I am sorry but I did not knw how to report this.
please tell me if I can help by sending you info on my config which might be
of help
many thanks

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. You seem to have an old flash player
in your home directory:
/home/sasa/.mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
Please let us know if removing that file helps.

This problem has been bothering me since at least Ubuntu 9.04 and
probably even Ubuntu 8.10. I have searched for ways to fix it but have
not found any. Today I came upon this bug report so I tried downloading
a pdf after having a new browser session. Flash worked at first but
surely enough, after d
