Hi proshar,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

Using "Menu->System->Preferences->Sound" show nothing in the HW tab.
As workaround, the following will solve the problem for the current session.
> sudo alsa force-reload
lsof: WARNING: can't stat() fuse.gvfs-fuse-daemon file system /home/jdp/.gvfs

Hey fellas! 64bit works just fine with my NC6400. Audio sometimes stops
working only because it goes on Mute or the volume goes to the lowest
sometimes, it may a bug or something but after you are completely logged
in and turn the Volume up or unmute it, it you should be fine.
Now I'm not sure if
I have the same problem too. I will try the 64 bit version later and
I'll post back if sound is working fine.
