I am using replaygain and when I turn it off it behaves normally. Sorry

I can reproduce it every time I try to change the volume in Rhythmbox.
It starts on the lowest setting. If I try to drag the slider it will
drop back to the lowest setting when I let up the mouse button. The same
thing happens in the Sound Preferences currently running applications. I
