Guys, the button can be put back on using these in the console, before KDE
has started running.

Well? Could you provide help how to activate this feature again? It is
kind of essential. I have a production system here for audio mixing and
I hope I did not do a mistake upgrading to lucid.

Félix, the driver source code was changed not to expose those controls
by default (but they can be toggled via sysfs).

The 'Analog loopback' switch exists (and works) in alsamixer on my Dell
XPS m1330 when I boot on Linux Mint 7 (based on Jaunty). But not on
Karmic or Lucid. Why is that?

Must be supported by the driver I suppose, on some devices I see such
functions, on some I dont.
