Guys, the button can be put back on using these in the console, before KDE has started running.
echo "loopback=yes" >> /sys/class/sound/hwC0D0/hints echo 1 >> /sys/class/sound/hwC0D0/reconfig When your computer starts up, you can do a console login instead of logging in to KDE, open a sudo bash, and write these commands. After that, type exit until you are at the console login, give it a minute, it will take you back to the KDE login screen. Login and check KMix, the button should be there now.
