Same problem on 30 Asus EeePc's 900a used in classroom.
Problem exists in both karmic and lucid.
Intially, icons are in rows of 4 across the screen. When I add Edubuntu
packages, in Education, Games and System (including Preferences and
Administration), the rows change to 3 icons across the scree
I think is just a problem with the icons alignment and the scrollbar.
When there's few icons, these fits perfectly with the menu container. In
my case (800x480 screen), the icons aligns horizontally in groups of
three. When there's more icons in the menu that can be shown in the
screen a scrollbar
I have a ASUS Bee Series and I experimented the same problem with the
new main menu. In my case, I not able to access to some icons if in the
menu there's more than six icon.
In this screen you can see six icon, but actually there's 9. There's 3 incons

I agree with #9, this really sours the UNR experience and should be
bumped up in priority. The accessories and games sections are both
buggy for me (more so than the rest of the fairly buggy UNR launcher)
and the games section is useless.
(I have an eee pc 1005ha with Ubuntu 9.10.)

This issue is occurring on my regular Karmic install as well(not the
netbook edition). My issue seems to be that back in the day I was
editing the menu and deleted the stupid submenus and ever since I have
had to manually add most every game I install to the game menu because a
shortcut is not auto
Since this affect core functionality, can this be bumped from low to at
least medium or high? The games menu is essentially unusable. It only
displays about half the games. Admittedly, you can simply launch games
from the cli but still - it is a functionality issue that anyone would
encounter (
I am seeing the same thing. I was pretty sure this had to do with gnome
having submenus for some game types. The package sgt-puzzles
categorizes it's games as 'logic' which seems to break the whole thing.
I worked on creating my own menu with all items but the process is too
tedious. In the men

I have a Toshiba NB 200 and the same issue is very obvious the amount of
space given to the first row of Games icons seems enormous. The text
for the last row appears below the edge of the frame and is illegible.
