Since this affect core functionality, can this be bumped from low to at least medium or high? The games menu is essentially unusable. It only displays about half the games. Admittedly, you can simply launch games from the cli but still - it is a functionality issue that anyone would encounter (even on a fresh install) if they install games via the utilities you provide.
