How ridiculous! The problem was fixed in the full release like I noted
in comment #3, so I never revisited the bug. No hardware changed, not
even in the past two years. The error was in the cpio process, and two
years later you're now hand-waving about a hardware problem, even though

Such segmentation fault can happen when RAM is faulty or too less RAM present
on the box.
Hard to say without the proper logs. Anyway this is an hardware issue of that
particular box, thus closing.

Note that the bug is being submitted from a separate Ubuntu 9.04 system,
so I'm not sure that the Dependencies.txt file is right.
