Karmic comes with tetronimo module but it does not load it…. Simply go
and edit the /etc/modules file and add the lenovo-sl-laptop at the end
of the list. Automagically all buttons will work a
I do not see any speed decrease as using lenovo-sl-laptop in /etc/modules.
I'd have a question though about the status of this bug. It's still Incomplete.

I wasn't able to edit my previous post so I'll add my comment here. Whereas the
above fix gave me back my volume buttons, adding it to my /etc/modules slowed
down my computer so badly I was about to go back to Jaunty. Then I remembered
I'd made that change, I removed it and I'm back to original
Just upgraded to 9.10 (2.6.31-11-generic) and noticed the volume hotkeys
didn't work. Did the above ("sudo modprobe lenovo-sl-laptop") and they
now work! Thanks!

Lenovo-sl-laptop is included in ubuntu-modules (See Bug #351586). So
you can ommit steps above 1-6.

1. Download the lenovo-sl-laptop files from
http://github.com/tetromino/lenovo-sl-laptop
2. Untar the files
3. Go into the directory
4. Run the command "make all"
5. Copy the new module to you current kernel "sudo cp lenovo-sl-laptop.ko
/lib/modules/`uname -r`/kern
If I enable lenovo-sl-laptop module (sudo modprobe lenovo-sl-laptop) then it
works.
Another question is why this module is not enabled automatically if hardware
supports it (Bug #448157).

so please tell me how to solve this problem. at 9.04 i could solve this
problem with tetrominos experimental package. at 9.10 karmic tetrominos
package doesn't seem to work anymore. The keys for brightnes are
working, but the other keys for volume and so on don't work anymore with
terominos package
