Karmic is up and running again, but I cannot reproduce the error. There
were gstreamer updates; perhaps that fixed the issue.

It seems to be confined to Karmic as I went to the same site that caused
the problem today using Jaunty and could not reproduce the problem with
plugin application/x-shockwave-flash. I had similar problems with
Firefox in Karmic on other sites using live flash, and it was
reproducable.
Unfortunate
There really is not much for me/anybody to work with here.
One thing that would help, greatly, would be to run 'firefox' from the
terminal, and try to recreate the bug. Then, paste what that says here.
