It seems to be confined to Karmic as I went to the same site that caused the problem today using Jaunty and could not reproduce the problem with plugin application/x-shockwave-flash. I had similar problems with Firefox in Karmic on other sites using live flash, and it was reproducable.
Unfortunately I cannot retest at the moment as I my Karmic partition is affected by bug 393939.
