Hi Jan,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are
available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

The system hangs when transfering more then 20GB to the ntfs partition.
Transfered file (when system crashed) will be corrupted - can't be deleted
(input/output error)

One possible explanation could be that Ubuntu 9.04 uses old ntfs-3g driver.
At least NTFS-3G Version 2009.3.8 is recommended.
