The system hangs when transfering more then 20GB to the ntfs partition. Transfered file (when system crashed) will be corrupted - can't be deleted (input/output error) Workaround is here: http://ntfs-3g.org/support.html#ioerror CHKDSK /f DRIVE: on Windows and the I/O errors should go away Thi

One possible explanation could be that Ubuntu 9.04 uses old ntfs-3g driver. At least NTFS-3G Version 2009.3.8 is recommended. $ aptitude show ntfs-3g Package: ntfs-3g Version: 1:2009.2.1-0ubuntu2 -- mount.ntfs-3g uses lot of CPU when writing to the ntfs partition ht
