Whether "/upgrade screen irssi" worked because of a bug or because of a
feature is by the by. The crucial point is that it worked. And now it
doesn't work.

It was rather a bug that enabled this, not a feature, so thus closing it
as won't fix.

It also affects Hardy and Intrepid too. I think Gutsy is the last
