Well, I was going to compile gstreamer0.10-plugins-good=0.10.14-2 from
source, but I quickly realized just how much trouble that was going to
be due to dependencies... So, I'll wait until it comes out in the
repository. Could someone tell me why Bug Watch Update has marked

It's also stated on http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=573181#c3
that gst-plugins good 0.10.14-2 should fix the issue, would be good to
test with it as soon as it's available trough the repositories.

Ok, I think I got it right this time. Unfortunately, I haven't been able
to reproduce the second problem I mentioned. The problem of two songs
playing at once seems to be intermittent and unpredictable. If I can
find something that reproduces it on a consistent basis I will open a

Is the lack of debug symbols something I did incorrectly? I followed the
guide you linked me to.
If you're asking for path examples, there's two in the original
description. If you're asking me to attach the media file, I'm afraid
all of them are copyrighted material and I'm not comfortable upload
the stackrace lacks debug symbols but it's weird that crossfading would
behave differently due to chars in the song name, could you add a file
example to the bug?

As requested, I performed a backtrace. I would like to add that I have
also found this is directly related to the cross-fading feature of
Rhythmbox. When I disable cross-fading, the problem does not occur and
everything works as expected. I also experienced another problem which
seems to be related
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please try to obtain a backtrace following the
instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and upload
the backtrace (as an attachment) to the bug report. This will greatly
