For sure, this bug is not related to network-manager. It is the missing
linux-restricted-modules that causes the problems: no drivers available
and thus no connection. Not only network-manager, but also all other
network tools suffer from this missing driver.

linux-restricted-modules-generic
Tries to update, but it depends on:
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.28-12-generic
Which doesn't seem to exist anywhere in packages.ubuntu.com. I have all
repos enabled, and yet st
No error output. Hardware drivers list is blank. Also, if there were a
wish list, whenever the machine is restarted the broadcom driver needs
to be disabled and re-enabled before it will work???

same problem here. I'm using Presario V6000 series (V6608AU). No restricted
drivers for Broadcom BCM4312 802.11b/g
It was working fine with kernel 2.6.28-11 and the previous versions. But not
working with 2.6.28-12
