So I've fought with this quite a bit, and seems to just be a limitation
of dkms. The best thing I can do at dkms compile time (postinst) is
spit out the informative error message displayed:
You might try installing the meta package:
$ sudo apt-get install linux-headers-server
or specifically
$
Moving to kvm-source for now (might actually be better in dkms, not
sure). Ideally it would fail more gracefully
** Package changed: update-manager (Ubuntu) => kvm (Ubuntu)
** Changed in: kvm (Ubuntu)
