Testing the iBook G4 on Lucid Beta 1 shows that the buttons work again.
Can someone confirm that this also works for the powerbook g4 on Lucid?

For my 15" powerbook, I have to put this line in start section of
/etc/init.d/pbbuttonsd:
mknod /dev/i2c-4 c 89 4
Also, in edgy, I need to set:
autorescan= yes
in /etc/pbbuttonsd.conf
The the brightness controls and keyboard back light work.

gtkpbbutons slider to move but with no effect whatsoever on display brightness.
Using fblevel I get this error message:
ioctl PMU_IOC_SET_B
