I found that if you try to install the package 'splashy' and 'splashy-
themes' on 10.04 it cannot install 'splashy'. It installs 'splashy-
themes' however. This means that until you fix the broken dependencies
you cannot install any packages. Try the following if you have this
problem:
sudo apt-ge
Just a quick note that splashy was removed from Debian testing because
it was considered too buggy to release with. It's still in Debian
unstable, but was removed in Ubuntu 10.10 (and will not be in 11.04) as
a result of Debian's removal. So this is not a bug in current versions
of Ubuntu (though

I would like to use splashy with uswsusp so I don't care about plymouth.
Is this really that difficult to fix that nobody at Canonical is
competent enough to fix it? I doubt it. But if that's the case maybe
Debian can help it seems to be working fine in Debian. In any case,

splashy is the problem here... but usplash is fine?
I ask because my bootsplash is messed up now, and i just found this rather

This issue has completely locked up my ability to use kpackagekit on my system.
Is there some temporary workaround available?
