I would like to use splashy with uswsusp so I don't care about plymouth. Is this really that difficult to fix that nobody at Canonical is competent enough to fix it? I doubt it. But if that's the case maybe Debian can help it seems to be working fine in Debian. In any case, let's fix it, this has been dragging for enough time now.
