yes, the camera:/ kioslave was broken in KDE 4.
I did a fix for KE 4.2 TRUNK, but the attached diff should work against
KE 4.1 too.

Can confirm this behaviour exactly as rieg describes it and also tested
a second Canon camera, a "Digital Ixus 70".

This is definitely a bug, but I think it's more than a problem with
libgphoto2, can someone please tell me where this bug report should be
reported. Here is some more information:
-I did get my camera to work using DigiKam, but I am not notified when I
plug in my camera (as I was with 8.04).
